Village Green Wood Stain is a premium quality, non-toxic, odour free wood stain, for interior and exterior use, that will enhance your wood with a colourful vibrance that brings it to life. Rich and deep, light and exuberant, modern or traditional; tones and shades that will suit your style and personality. PREPARATION: Ensure that the surface is clean, dry and free from dirt and dust and any previous finish. If sanding, the wood should be sanded with the grain, using 150 – 220 grit abrasive paper. APPLICATION: SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE. Application may be by brush, roller, applicator or lint free cloth. For the best results, apply the lightest coats possible, wiping off any excess, working quickly along the wet edge. Using this method, you may require multiple coats, but you can control the colour depth to perfect your finish. Allow your wood to be dry to the touch before applying additional coats. Drying time is generally 15 mins – 1 hour. Clean up with soap and water. FINISH: Allow 24-48 hours for the stain to fully dry before applying a finish. You can finish your stained wood using a wax, oil, varnish or lacquer. COVERAGE: 12-15 square metres per litre on sanded wood (7-10 square meters on rough sawn timber). Although our stains are always thoroughly tested for colour consistency, the perceived colour of the stain once applied may vary depending on the qualities of the wood you are applying it to and the method of application. Viewing colours via screen will also alter the perceived colour of a colour swatch. For this reason, we always recommend to try a 50ml sample bottle from our ready to use range prior to purchasing a larger quantity. We also sell our stain in concentrate form for larger jobs. For more info, news, photos, tips & tricks, please like and share our Facebook and Instagram pages. Just search Village Green Wood Stains. Please also check out all images on this listing to show what these stains can achieve.

Acclaimed as the best-ever guide to popular fiction, BESTSELLER is rare gem – a book about best-selling novels by an author who has actually written some. Celia Brayfield distils the special art of writing popular fiction, beginning with respect for the readers and understanding of the part that books play in their lives and moving on to an authoritative analysis of structure and a step-by-step guide to the elements of classical narrative. BESTSELLER has guided many successful writers to a place in their readers’ hearts and a ranking in the booksellers’ top ten.
“In this ambitious and fascinating book, Brayfield tackles the Zen of fiction bestsellerdom. Her premise is that stories define a puzzling world and help to defuse our more primitive fears, the most significant continuing to haunt and nourish our imaginations. This is based on a study of how myth works through cultures. From there she constructs her methods of story shaping, research, narrative techniques and, of course, style…….From the student upwards, writers and readers will enjoy this bold an illuminating tilt at unravelling the mysteries of the popular novel. Even, perhaps, the literary novelist.” Elizabeth Buchan, The Times

‘A convincing picture of hard men in a hard time, Dan Jones’ fiction rings with the authority of his scholarly history.’ PHILIPPA GREGORY
‘Absolutely fabulous. A raucous, swaggering charge through the medieval underworld. I had such a good time reading it that I never wanted it to stop.’ ANTONIA FRASER
‘Superb historical fiction as fresh, vivid and vital as this morning’s headlines… proves once again that nothing really changes, be it a soldier’s life – or great storytelling.’ LEE CHILD

AN ENDLESS WAR.
A BLOOD-SOAKED BATTLEFIELD.
A BAND OF BROTHERS.

1347. After a bloody battle at Crécy, the Essex Dogs pick through the wreckage of the fighting – and their own lives.

Now the Dogs are sent to attack the soaring walls of Calais where a new siege is beginning. To get home, they must survive in a lawless camp that is deadlier than any battlefield.

Obsessed with finding the Captain, Loveday is losing control of his men. Romford is haunted by a horrific figure from his past. And Scotsman is spiralling into a pit of drink, violence and self-pity.

The Dogs are being torn apart – but this war is far from over. It won’t be long before they lose more of their own…

From a vast siege camp built outside Calais’ walls, to pirate ships patrolling the harbour, and finally into the darkest corners of oligarchs’ houses inside a starving city, this captivating and darkly comic story brings the fourteenth century vividly to life. A searing tale about merchants, money and the medieval ‘deep state’, this is a must-read for fans of Bernard Cornwell and Conn Iggulden.

‘Wolves of Winter is a horrible joy to read: horrible because of the vivid, random bloodshed, and a joy because of the easy authenticity of his prose… If you’ve ever enjoyed a Ridley Scott film, go and buy this book!’ ALICE WINN

‘Recalls Hilary Mantel’s Wolf Hall novels with its masterly control, period details, and understated humor.’ KIRKUS STARRED REVIEW

‘Dan Jones tackles The Hundred Years’ War and puts faces and personalities, drug habits and fighting in an urgent light. I feel like I’m there . . . Simply stunning.’ DUFF McKAGAN, New York Times No1 bestselling author of It’s So Easy, and founder member of Guns N’ Roses

‘Finding hints of light amid the darkness of war, Wolves of Winter captures the humanity at the heart of our history.’ DR MICHAEL LIVINGSTON

‘Wolves of Winter is another brilliant book by Dan Jones. I’m constantly amazed at how prolific Dan is, and also how he keeps his standards so high.’ CHARLES SPENCER

‘Nobody but Dan Jones could write this story… It captures the grime, blood, sweat and friendship of medieval war brilliantly.’ GARETH RUSSELL

‘An enthralling, captivating, and thrilling chronicle… Truly wonderful and truly fascinating!’ GENERAL DAVID PETRAEUS

Praise for Essex Dogs:

‘Reminds me of Cornwell at his best.’ CONN IGGULDEN
‘This is the Hundred Years’ War as directed by Oliver Stone with a historian’s eye for detail’ ELODIE HARPER
