Rosie ClarkeRosie Clarke

Hello to all my readers.

As Rosie Clarke, I write heart-warming and sometimes heart-wrenching stories about everyday people and the dramas that shape their lives. My characters become real people to me and most of them are like old friends. Peggy, her children and friends, and all the girls at Harpers. Let them be your friends too.

As well as the Lizzie series, I’ve written seven Mulberry Lane books and five Harpers  and more are in the pipeline as well as an exciting new series Blackberry Farm, which is set mostly in Cambridgeshire.

I hope you will enjoy reading the books as much as I enjoy writing them.

Best wishes from Rosie Clarke

“I couldn’t have a conversation with white folks about the details of a problem if they didn’t want to recognise that the problem exists. Worse still was the white person who might be willing to entertain the possibility of said racism but still thinks we enter this conversation as equals. We didn’t then, and we don’t now.”

In February 2014, Reni Eddo-Lodge posted an impassioned argument on her blog about her deep-seated frustration with the way discussions of race and racism in Britain were constantly being shut down by those who weren’t affected by it. She gave the post the title ‘Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race’. Her sharp, fiercely intelligent words hit a nerve, and the post went viral, spawning a huge number of comments from people desperate to speak up about their own similar experiences.

Galvanised by this response, Eddo-Lodge decided to dive into the source of these feelings, this clear hunger for an open discussion. The result is a searing, illuminating, absolutely necessary exploration of what it is to be a person of colour in Britain today, covering issues from eradicated black history to white privilege, the fallacy of ‘meritocracy’ to whitewashing feminism, and the inextricable link between class and race. Full of passionate, personal and keenly felt argument, Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race is a wake-up call to a nation in denial about the structural and institutional racism occurring in our homes.

‘Written with such love and heart. Sarah has done an exceptional job of marrying her trademark comedy with deep and raw emotion. I loved it!’ GIOVANNA FLETCHER

FROM THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF THE UNMUMSY MUM

Beth has never stuck at anything.

She’s quit more jobs and relationships than she can remember and she still sleeps in her childhood bedroom. It’s not that she hasn’t tried to grow up, it’s just that so far, the only commitment she’s held down is Friday drinks at the village pub.

Then, in the space of a morning, her world changes.

An unspeakable tragedy turns Beth’s life upside down, and she finds herself guardian to her teenage niece and toddler nephew, catapulted into an unfamiliar world of bedtime stories, parents’ evenings and cuddly elephants. Having never been responsible for anyone – or anything – it’s not long before she feels seriously out of her depth.

What if she’s simply not up to the job?

With a little help from her best friend Jory (purely platonic, of course …) and her lovely, lonely next-door neighbour, Albert, Beth is determined that this time she’s not giving up. It’s time to step up.

This is a story about digging deep for strength you never knew you had and finding magic in things that were there all along.

‘STEPPING UP is a heart-blasting triumph of a novel – wise, witty and wonderfully human.’ Isabelle Broom

‘Stop EVERYTHING and read this! Funny, tender and beautifully observed. Loved, loved, LOVED it!’ Cathy Bramley

Brought to you by Penguin.

From an unmissable new voice comes the powerful and epic story of mythology’s darkest heroine.

Shunned. Persecuted. Tormented.

Medea longs for a different life. Since childhood, she has been separated from her sister, shunned by her mother, and persecuted and tormented by her brother and father. All because of a unique and dangerous talent: witchcraft.

Fierce. Powerful. Sorceress.

But when a dashing young hero, Jason, arrives to claim the famed Golden Fleece that her father fiercely protects, Medea sees her opportunity for escape. Her offer to help Jason overcome the trials set by her father sets in motion a journey that will test every ounce of her strength, magic and loyalty; a journey that will see her battle monsters, dethrone kings and fall in love.

When faced with the ultimate betrayal, Medea is driven to an act of desperation so brutal it rips apart the lives of everyone involved…

THIS SUMMER’S MOST EXPLOSIVE LISTEN. GET READY FOR TRUTHS AND BOMBSHELLS. NARRATED FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER BY KATIE HERSELF.

‘Staggeringly honest… Katie is one of showbusiness’s great survivors,’ Bryony Gordon

‘Katie is the best storyteller,’ Jamie Laing

‘Katie is a survivor,’ Elizabeth Day

Celebrating twenty years since her bestselling debut autobiography, Being Jordan, and a stellar thirty-year career, This Is Me is Katie Price as you’ve never heard her before – raw and reflective. Katie explores the incredible highs and devastating lows of her life and turbulent career, as well as the journey she’s been
on to get to where she is today.

From her first forays into glamour modelling when she was just 17 years old, through a wild ride of Playboy mansions, Eurovision Song Contests, reality TV and everything in between, This Is Me is the true story of Katie’s life behind the headlines. But it’s not all glitz, glam and cosmetic surgery. For the first time, Katie will reflect on her journey through therapy, PTSD, trauma and the trials of living her life in the media spotlight. It’s a true tale of survival during a career that has seen her become a household name – sometimes for all the wrong reasons. But though this is Katie in her most reflective book to date, it’s also punctuated with the very real drama she’s been dealing with in her life at the moment.

Full of life lessons she’s learned along the way as well as the pain and heartache of the ones she’s still learning, this is the real, explosive and unapologetically honest Katie Price.

The audiobook also includes an exclusive Q&A with Kerry Katona.

THE SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER

Things No One Taught Us About Love distils the ideas found in Vex King’s Closer to Love, re-edited and presented in the warm, relatable style of his No. 1 bestseller Good Vibes, Good Life.

This extraordinary book is for anyone looking to harness the power of the universe, and their own self-understanding, to manifest stronger, deeper relationships.

Bestselling author of Good Vibes, Good Life, Vex King is back with a life-changing guide to strengthening your relationships by learning to love yourself, and understanding the true nature of love.

Many of us expect romantic love to solve our problems and validate our worth. This burden strains modern relationships. Partners become frustrated when unable to meet each other’s idealized and impossible demands. Broken dreams of a life-long romance can leave people feeling incomplete and hopping from one partner to another.

It’s no wonder we struggle, given that society fails to teach us about the true nature of love. We’ve been misled into thinking love is external – somewhere out there – rather than a force within us.

Vex King dismantles the myths and misconceptions surrounding love and relationships. Packed with personal stories, expert advice and inspirational messages, Things No-one Taught Us About Love will help you understand how you love, create healthy habits, set boundaries that work for you, and heal unprocessed emotion and trauma.

‘A long-term relationship will die and be reborn a thousand times. It doesn’t matter how long you are with someone, but how willing you are to stay open to the new versions of them (and yourself) that are certain to arise.’ – Vex King

‘A must read if you are seeking to elevate your relationships and your life.’ – Yung Pueblo, New York Times #1 Bestselling author of Clarity & Connection and Lighter

An Amazon Charts, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestseller.

From Dean Koontz, the master of suspense, comes an epic thriller about a terrifying killer and the singular compassion it will take to defeat him.

“Canine or human, it is hard to find a more lovable character in fiction than Kipp. Devoted has every mark of a classic.” – Associated Press

Woody Bookman hasn’t spoken a word in his eleven years of life. Not when his father died in a freak accident. Not when his mother, Megan, tells him she loves him. For Megan, keeping her boy safe and happy is what matters. But Woody believes a monstrous evil was behind his father’s death and now threatens him and his mother. And he’s not alone in his thoughts. An ally unknown to him is listening.

A uniquely gifted dog with a heart as golden as his breed, Kipp is devoted beyond reason to people. When he hears the boy who communicates like he does, without speaking, Kipp knows he needs to find him before it’s too late.

Woody’s fearful suspicions are taking shape. A man driven by a malicious evil has set a depraved plan into motion. And he’s coming after Woody and his mother. The reasons are primal. His powers are growing. And he’s not alone. Only a force greater than evil can stop what’s coming next.
